49: The Two-Star Dragon
Haze is a fun, and I like that even though he’s not physically stronger than the saiyans his durability and the strength-sapping toxic environment he creates makes him formidable. Just wish they found a way to beat him without the clear spring deus-ex.
48: The Shadow Dragons
The dragon balls corrupting because of overuse, manifesting into evil dragons is a great idea for the “final” arc of DB. Love the literally smoking Black Smoke Dragon and the split-second punctuation marks as Haze slowly reacts to the rock on his foot. 😂
47: The Greatest Surprise
I like the end of this fight and 18’s involvement in it. Goku consoling 18 afterward, reassuring her that the real 17 helped them defeat him and that Krillin would be proud, was very sweet. The arc’s aftermath provides foreboding omens for what’s next.
44: 17 Times Two
The 17/18 confrontation was compelling and I wish the focus of the arc was on 18 getting revenge on her brother for killing her husband instead. Goku getting frozen was undone too easily, making the whole Freeza/Cell fight pointless. And Super 17 is just dumb.
First Anime: Hamtaro
Last Anime: Dragon Ball GT
Best Anime: Urusei Yatsura
Worst Anime: Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission https://t.co/pSKPliExfp
36: The Tuffle Gorilla Attacks
Love Baby playing dirty, attacking his own followers and threatening to blow the earth up for lulz. It’s a bit disappointing he’s now mad with power and lost sight of his goal, but he’s such a hilariously spiteful dick that he’s still a fun villain
34: Back in the Game
It’s fun seeing Goku rampage as a Great Ape again, and Pan trying to rekindle his memories was really sweet. I wish they did more with Baby having to protect his people against the creature that annihilated them before, but he abandons them pretty quickly.
33: The Tail’s Tale
Majuub being beaten and eaten and Goku regrowing his tail only to be literally thrown around by Baby made the past few eps feel like a waste of time. But the tail subplot isn’t a complete waste; Goku transforming into a Golden Great Ape is super satisfying.
@shojoandtell Here are some faves of mine I’d like to see animated! (that I haven’t seen listed yet)
I’d also love to see remakes or new seasons of Basara, Please Save My Earth, Princess Jellyfish, and Skip Beat!
27: The Attack on Vegeta
I’m so used to Vegeta as the deuteragonist of modern DB that going so long without him in GT made his fight here feel like a breath of fresh air. I love his doting dad moments with Bulla and the brutal beatdown Baby gives him. Tuffle twist was great too.
