Nadesico's mechs in the show I don't think get brought up too often, but I've always really dug the aestevalis with their armor swapping gimmick.
Pretty straight forward and super stand out yet Cool designs with plenty of personality.
I'm semi re-watchin dagwon and One thing I'm being reminded is how much of a leap in animation the show gets around 38.
The show looks alright for the time, but that point it looks really good to the point it's almost jarring.
One of my favorite things about watching shows like this is seeing the kinds of bullshit weaponry they make up because real guns aren't viable
Seeing Godzilla wearing glasses is really stupid looking
but I've seen way dumber so it's ok
Watching this series again, I do like that the characters do the science talk by figuring out how the monsters work in their biology, behaviour, etc
The scientific aspect is somewhat similar to what Singular point, even if they are pretty different at the end.
lil weird they didn't get hank azaria to voice the camera guy again, but at least they got Captain Howard from Bad Boys to voice him
Today marks the 30th anniversary of one of my favorite Mecha series, Detonator Orgun.
Directed by Masami Obari and produced by AIC. With Hiroyuki Hataike for the Mechanical designs, Kia Asamiya for character designs, and Musician Susumu Hirasawa as the OVA's Composer.
