It’s great to see the quality some of our artists have achieved with their food #drawings. The 1st stage of home project was to draw food. We shared instructional information via #Teams, set up demonstrations via #YouTube clips and offered mark up feedback. #thebigdraw
We are impressed with this Year 9 portrait #drawing entered for the #GreatMGSArtOff. The eyes are staring directly at the viewer. The mark making suggests age and character and directional line in the hair implies volume. Well done!

One of our Year 12 pupils has sent some work for the #GreatMGSArtOff. He no longer studies Art but has been working on his digital drawing using #Procreate on the #iPad. Here we see his work in progress, the second image features an outline overdrawing. We are really impressed!
We are really impressed with this drawing by one of our Year 11 artists who did this especially for the #greatMGSartoff. This beautiful pet portrait captures his dogs likeness and obedience.

We broke up yesterday. Today Mrs Davidson visited @OFBrowPrimary and ran a #WinterWonderland #painting workshop for some Year 5 pupils. Each piece has quite a different mood. Well done.
Some lovely #drawing underway on bottom deck of the depARTment following our trip to @McrMuseum and working from wider resources in school. Great to see pupils developing traditional skills. #thebigdraw #naturalform #skeleton #frog #oak #leaf
We are really impressed with the young #Reception #artists at #NewIslingtonFreeSchool who created these fantastic mixed media #collage #birds and #animals with help from MGS Year 12 Enrichment pupils.
Here is some #GCSE #illustration featuring #collaged #birds with #screenprint #floral and #birdcages from middle deck of the depARTment
