Changing...GALATT!!
Because I'm in a good mood right now, I'm going to be posting my LP scans of the three soundtracks released for Choriki Robo Galatt. These are all scanned by me and recently restored by an acquaintance of mine.
Here are the front & back covers for the 1st OST
1st pic is the booklet's first page, 2nd pic is the back page, and the 3rd is the booklet's inside, with the tracklist and a description of each track.
Also: I genuinely cannot tell if that insert booklet's inside was illustrated or if it's a IRL photo that was taken...
Ok, here are the scans for the Joe Hisaishi LP I mentioned earlier! Got more coming in this thread.
These are the front & back covers for the (currently vinyl-only) image album released for Kaoru Kurimoto's Makyou Yuugekitai novel. Illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano.
Not all of the BGM is like this IG. There's still some you can definitely enjoy without needing to know context behind them.
Like Galatt's transformation BGM. I mean...it sounds cooler when you've seen the transformation sequence yourself but it's fine enough without it I think
If any of you guys scan old anime artwork or anything of the such, I beg of you to PLEASE use a descreening filter.
Otherwise you'll end up with shit like this. This is from a poster I'm currently trying to scan together...left is without the de-screen filter and right is with it
3rd clip. Yumi & Numinor are introduced here.
Already there's BGM that isn't on the Japanese OST (not a surprise TBH)...and live-orchestral BGM at 1:10 👀, though it's very likely taken from an earlier show that Kei Wakakusa composed BGM for
Will end this thread with a short sample from a vinyl-only image album I own that Nozomi Aoki co-arranged with Kohei Tanaka.
I posted this exact sample long ago but it's in shit quality 🦛, so here's a higher quality raw rip.
Here are some fun easter eggs in this episode:
-Trash ship is Space Battleship Yamato
-Kentz from Vifam on da TV screen 😳
-The pile of scrap in the beginning of the episode has...Galiant with a swastika on its forehead??
