Earlier this morning I discovered an 80s commercial for Kawasaki Steel, featuring some sci-fi artwork by Syd Mead...they also used a song by the artist who sung the Crusher Joe movie theme songs.
The song they chose + the artwork they selected makes this hit differently 😥
Idk about you guys but I would literally do ANYTHING to be able to hold hands with either one of these characters, even if it's just for one second 🦛
Hi-res(?) front cover of the LP version of the Urban Square anime soundtrack released in 1986.
Scanned by me and restored by a friend.
For obvious starters: only Vol. 1 of both the Ideon & Dunbine OSTs seem to be up at the moment.
Also Xabungle is missing the vinyl-only disco-arrangement album, and the unreleased BGM album too...
Got some interesting info for y'all regarding an unreleased 80s anime🤠
For the uninformed:
Lavithunder was intended to be released in the 80s but never came out for unknown reasons. All that exists is a 7-inch single containing what would've been the anime's theme song on Side A
Some CD scans of the Elf 17 OVA soundtrack. Scanned by me & restored by a friend of mine.
If I had the LP version I definitely would've been able to up the HQ scale a bit...especially with the insert illustration (it's B&W on the CD release). But eh these will do
I will be completely honest and admit that Kazuo Ohtani's BGM works have never really caught my interest all that much, but this one track he did for Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari has gotten me thinking about it non-stop for a while now.
Front/back cover scans of the Glass no Kamen 1982 vinyl image album. Also included a scan of an illustration insert that came with the LP.
Fun fact: the illustration insert has a signature—I used to think my copy was exclusively signed but then I found out all copies have it 🙃
