In S1E1 Catra slept on Adora's bed, in a room with many others, with the headpiece on day & night (must have been uncomfortable). After moving to her private Force Captain's room she maybe felt safer & started taking it off for night.

When Catra let her headpiece fall, the sound revealed that it's made of metal. I had thought it was something like hardened leather that might be comfortable to wear because it's constantly framing her face - day & night, hot or cold.

Could be that Catra was upset because her trap had not worked the way she had hoped...
Or could be that Catra was also upset because that cold glare was all she could expect to get from Adora after every interaction since the portal (S3E6). https://t.co/AMfSp9PPH9

Adora calls SW bitter and cruel (lacking in compassion);
