Over the weekend I read Platinum End, the latest work from the creators of Death Note. It's crazy how it's exactly like Death Note yet nothing like Death Note. Basically it's what you'd get if the Death Note creators made Future Diary.

I wanted to share one of my character design tips. If you're working on a new design, make a Pop figure of your character. It's one of the best ways I've found to focus on the color palette without being distracted by pose, expression, etc. You really see which details matter.
