Nobody told me that it's #OC_tober. And here I am making all this art of them for next month. Let me see your OCs in the replies. #originalcharacter
In the original SpongeBob movie, when Mr. Krabs is making his big announcement, Mrs. Puff says she paid $9 to get in, while Sandy says she paid $10. I always wondered if this was a subtle nod to Krusty Love, with Krabs giving Puff a $1 discount due to some lingering emotions.
In the episode Squilliam Returns, Squilliam's response to hearing about Squidward's 5-star restaurant is to make a same-day dinner reservation for a party of 13. You'd think Squidward could have gotten out of that one by saying they were booked solid for the next month.
Snow awareness actually provides us a timeline for certain episodes. SpongeBob knows what snow is in Christmas Who? and Snowball Effect, but not Survival of the Idiots. Plankton doesn't know what it is in Snowball Effect, so presumably SoTI comes first, then SE, then CW.
Back in the day, I knew that Flats the Flounder from The Bully was voiced by the legendary Biff Tannen himself, Thomas J Wilson. Had no idea that he was a recurring voice actor toward the end of the show's original run. I can remember key lines from every one of his characters.
This one's kind of random, but in Artist Unknown, after Squidward tries to convince the other students that he was actually teaching cooking, I thought he was going to paint his watch to look like a big cookie with a bite taken out of it. Instead, he did not do that.
@koriArredondo When you compare the old with the new, it's like the new images peel away this faint layer of muddiness through the use of more striking colors. I can tell the base lineart and posing have improved too.
I find it interesting how Prehibernation Week and Survival of the Idiots depict Sandy hibernating in such extremely different ways, especially since these two episodes released within two weeks of each other. I can't imagine they took place in the same continuity.
One of Patrick's recurring characteristics is his lack of a nose. Long-time fans of the show will know that, like many other aspects of the show, this character trait changes to suit whatever is needed at the time.
