Another issue in this fantastic run. Hitch, Neary and Mounts serve up some gorgeous artwork.
Hitch never phones it in, like Perez he puts a ridiculous amount of detail into every panel, his action art is second to none, and his Human Torch is pure fire. How artists depict superhero powers can make or break a book for me. Hitch nails it every time
Booth has a sleek, sexy style to his art, and he does a great job with the “special effects”
Watched Batman Ninja tonight with my son. The story was ridiculous but the costume design and artwork were phenomenal.

Reis uses perspective and camera placement to enhance the dramatic power of the action art. That last two page spread is the kind of thing Neal Adams would do, his pages have such depth and weight
Ivan Reis Green Lantern. This run was pure fire, Reis is fantastic for this title, his art has big action energy. Simone Bianchi cover
Winslade, Palmer and Mila are a terrific art team, and Jenkins is one of the finest writers in the business.
There is a lot going on here, and Pacheco manages to show it without losing you in the chaos. That last page is a perfect example, you get a sweeping vista in that spread
Now I need to find out how this finished! Byrne gave Superman’s villains a bizarre, creepy edge.
Cage and the Panther! I’ve been a fan of both of these characters all my life, so seeing them in a story together was badass.
