I really like ending stories on moments of potential where the reader hopefully has a pretty good idea of what happens next but they're happy enough just living in the possibility of it. Because in a comic, you really can just park yourself in that exact moment forever.
My most over-dramatic touch in Young Offenders! is that Colin, whose power is invulnerability, actually feels less and less over time as a side-effect of his ability.
Dark Knight Strikes Again made me worse because for years I rejected it out of orthodoxy about a character's "spirit" or whatever rather than using my own two eyes. Eventually, it made me worse in a different way because I realized it was brilliant.
Timelines have shifted a bit (pandemic!), but I think these will be available to general readers in January, February, and March respectively.
