I’ve seen these petrels soaring together near incredible icebergs in glorious waves. Art recreates what none of my photos capture. Add text and voila!

1/ As an author/illustrator/outreach officer, I work w/ scientists to engage a wide audience from kids to adults.

I've been a birder since I was little. But #seabirds (+ #shorebirds), esp. high latitude birds, are my favorite subject to paint.

My family has officially been in total isolation for 4 weeks today.
I just celebrated by buying myself a new feather boa!

To wear in Zoom meetings. And also, just around the house on those blah days. And it's my favorite color!

How are you celebrating quarantine milestones?

A year ago today, I saw my first fogbow, we were surrounded by 57 icebergs large enough to be tracked by radar (all shrouded by fog), plus humpbacks and chinstrap penguins. And then we began to swirl down the drain...

They were the days...
