And even though Ultron Mark 12 survived long enough to save his father, Hank Pym, he couldn’t save himself. And that’s how Hank Pym lost Ultron, the only family he had left!

Back in the hospital, the doctor uses an experimental hallucinogenic drug to attempt to bring Bruce Banner out of his coma…and it works! He’s awake at the very least, but I guess we’ll discover the long-term effects in future issues!

The theme of this week’s logo is “new and former villains”: We have Puma in his Beyonder-killing form; the as-yet-unidentified Yellowjacket; the Porcupine (now deceased) who turned away from crime before he was killed; and the dutiful son, Ultron Mark Twelve!

And while the West Coast Avengers are visiting the Cat Dimension, Hank Pym is rediscovering a relationship with his formerly villainous son, Ultron Mark Twelve!

The Beyonder continues his conversation with Puma and Peter Parker from last issue: He points out that Peter has a clear sense of purpose and knows his role in the world, while Puma is conflicted and full of self-doubt. The Beyonder wants to help fix that.

I don’t think that Mary Jane understands the concept of what to wear while painting. Or maybe her outfit was intentionally chosen for a very specific reason!

The artwork in this issues is by Mary Wilshire, with inks by Bill Sienkiewicz. I’m not sure I’ve seen him ink someone else’s artwork before, but it’s nice to see him back on New Mutants!

The evil Hyperion walks Power Princess home after the death of her husband of forty years—the death that he caused. “Are you, uh, sure you want to be alone--in there--so soon after what, uh, happened?” This comic is pretty sick, and not in a good way.
