I don't take much pleasure from finished images. My enjoyment is all in the creation. Once a picture is done, my interest shifts immediately to what I'm painting next. However, there are a handful that I like to look back at. This is one.

74/100: 'Secret Garden'

The atmosphere is all important. I don't feel like the scene necessarily has to make much sense if that is correct. In fact, I think some oddness that might cause the viewer to come to creative conclusions makes things more interesting.

68/100: 'Room With a View'

From 2019, but based on a sketch from several years earlier. Sometimes the ideas for these pictures hang around for quite some time before they feel ready to paint.
