The mascot-era Frogger art style is so cool and unique, I'll never understand how this style of Frogger didn't pick up in popularity more.

@WoodenPlank In his defense, Meta Knight *is* regarded as a villain in these comics and regularly hangs out with the other villains (same with Villager).

And Smash itself kinda portrays him as a villain since he was always one in Sakurai's games, so it makes sense.
