My favorite bit of PM trivia is that Kooper doesn't actually canonically wear the bandage he's famous for in his official artwork; they just kinda accidentally used his art from another pic with Mario wearing the same bandage as his official character art everywhere.

I'm positive that these forms were made specifically to cater to the Pokemon anime and get them to have Ash use them, and then the anime team just decided, nah, let's never have Ash even touch on them, Lucario and Gengar for life babyyyyy
