#Smaugust day 3: Bee
Bee Dragons, also known as hornet drakes, are the smallest of dragons. Their rapid metabolism takes up all of their available energy, so their only defense is to mimic large stinging hymenopterans like bees, wasps and hornets.
#Smaugust2020
When most people think of ancient dragons, they envision a gnarly wizened gargantuan beast, but what about the very oldest of dragons, no longer than your forearm, ancestral to all the titans of the air?
(Never done #Smaugust before so I felt the need to draw at least a few.)
@Conor_JD_Daly Tyrannosaurus probably was cute. People just have kept reconstructing it as a fangorious supermonster as if that was an objective fact.
You can thank C. M. Kösemen for this one. I originally wanted to follow up my two excavator animals with a scorpion-inspired variant but ran out of time. However when Memo specifically asked for an excavator scorpion I knew I had to draw it once I got the chance. #creaturedesign
After watching an excavator dig up the nearby road this morning I was stricken by it's almost animalistic movement and started thinking about animals that had converged on an excavator-like shape, or perhaps were genetically engineered biological excavators. #creaturedesign
I've been told it's #PortfolioDay so I ported my folio.

@king_tyranno @Tomozaurus @TheDinoBuff I think you mean a suchian.
I actually managed to finish one more #SixFanarts piece yesterday, after struggling with it for about a week.
