It’s said Yuki-onna, a snow spirit in Japanese lore, lost her life in a snowstorm & now “ruthlessly kills unsuspecting mortals.” Tales vary from her being satisfied by a mere death to those of her being vampire-like & taking the life
force from her victims.

It has been said the pirate Blackbeard, who sailed the Caribbean & Atlantic coast of N. America on his ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge, practiced Voodoo. It’s believed he learned this practice at a young age when his family lived in Jamaica circa 1695.
