@Radshyguy @SmashinStar64 And yet I still see it as better than anything released in the past 5 years which is just... mobile tier.
Reminder that I decided to become a full Mario fan after pretty much 2 straight years of waiting. Granted, I had grown up with a GC with these games prior to getting my Wii.
How to improve you can improve your generic-ass medieval/fantasy game
step 1:
put him in it
@Commander_Keith Which I never exactly was all too fond of considering he had a weird pallete, which was apparently done because they couldn't use the blue from the NES pallet whenever he goes underwater without blending in.
The original drawings converted to sprites had a proper red/blue color
@raymanmago1265 @ThePookaHouse Winter Garden is a weird one considering it features them as adults, and they don't seem to have their unique quirks. I heard they are more "human" in this regard. It's not too hard to see why this one was quickly forgotten about. Probably for the better.
@raymanmago1265 @ThePookaHouse The rest were mostly just used for GAMERS advertising or other supplemental material, the 2008 one (with the red eyes and smaller bells) was rather short-lived.
@raymanmago1265 @ThePookaHouse There's like 6 different incarnations of Dejiko, as far as I know. Granted, Panyo Panyo seems to be a prequel of some sort as characters reappear in Nyo.
Nyo was probably the most fleshed out with giving Dejiko her own universe.
@Cookie__Sophie I was including this design in a passion project/potential pitch I was making for the Pac-Man franchise... But I’ve lost motivation to continue after the direction the series has taken in recent years... Plus the fact that his 40th was, well... yeah.
@GluffOfficial @jycompany_ I blame the fact the original arcade game was released with this infamous westernized artwork as opposed to the Japanese artwork which had him look more or less like he did in every other game after.
