Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for all the new followers, and for all the likes this year! Thank you so much!
Second barnowl done. The background did not work out as I planned on this one, so I had to change it. I like both backgrounds, but I prefered to paint the previous one on the cold pressed paper. (The ’brown’ owl is on hot pressed paper, and the ’purple’ is on cold pressed paper.)
Swan in the afternoon sun. Watercolour on hot pressed paper.

Painting waterlilies in watercolours, and I am really excited about this combination of undersea green and lunar blue (daniel smith). I also found a colourless or white maskingfluid, and it works! No staining has occured!

Waterlily, watercolours on hot pressed paper. 38x26cm. (Reference from Pixabay) Can masking fluid get old? Because it stained the paper which it has not done before...

Something different today: I just finished this commission of Peonies. Oil on canvas, 50x50 cm.

The seagull is done! Acrylic and oil on canvas, 45x35 cm. I have no idea what to call him though. It is Jonathan (after the book by Richard Bach), a seagull that lives by our summer cottage. Any ideas for titles?

I got some more work done on the Avocet today, even a first layer of oil on the bird. I’m thinking it will need another leg for balance, what do you think?
Now while I wait for this to dry a little, I think the seagull painting is dry enough to get it’s final details tomorrow!
