This is more what I had in mind for the Avocets. I painted a new background in my art journal and then I cut the avocets out from the watercolour painting I had already done and glued them in. Now I will start a new watercolour painting.😊

This small oil study is done. 18x24cm. I’m working on a few more studies like this and as I am not totally satisfied with this one, I will try out different approaches and styles until I am happy.

Inktober day 3. Great crested grebe in ink and acrylic ink on paper. I think I liked it more as just a black and white drawing. I need to try that next.
