My third attempt at oil painting having spent a day tutorial at the wonderland of The West Dean College, West Sussex. This was the afternoon exercise, I’m pleased with it as my last 2 attempts in the past were certainly not competent !

At last! (In Chinese) The awaited edition of ‘The Silk Road’ arrived very recently. In 2018 I was one of 5 illustrators involved with supplying the illustrations - some seen on this double-spread. Created by The Old Dungate Press Ltd, a lovely illustrated book.

Well for something a bit different.... my schooldays portfolio..remembering their cheap paper, and cheap paint supplies but no idea why I came up with these images. I never even entered an Art shop until I went to Art college. Strange days.

Wonderful Christmas image from Michael Foreman for December on my calendar - come from The Friends for Book Trust. Look on their website to get the 2021 Calendar...it’s, I believe, the only illustrators calendar there is!

Thank you Ian - look forward to seeing your latest watercolour. As it’s Lockdown 2 we need to try keep sane..time to get walking again - as in Helen Oxenbury famous picture, I shall be doing lots of them to help my case! Good luck with your lockdown everyone, keep safe.
