#BookIllustrationOfTheDay is by Tomie dePaola for “Oliver Button is a Sissy” (1979). This must have been such a powerful book back in the late 70s, gently exploring what it means to be a “boy”. Gentle, tender, quiet illustrations, just like Oliver himself. #LGBTplusHM
