Watching this again.
Aside from the usual (and known) very high quality of the standalone episodes (it's one of the best anime i've ever seen after all), it's funny how The Laughing Man case is even better than i remembered and makes me remember what happened here in 2018.
@Artistic_Madman @RPGSite I'd say he went back to his roots.
The way he's doing eyes is very recongizable
Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime (Belle in the West) is perhaps Hosoda's greatest and most accomplished work since....Digimon Bokura no War Game.
I need to see Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo and Ame & Yuki again but damn, i was really impressed.
@amoko_official (実はドライハムやソーセージ、ピクルス、フルサンドでも同じことをやっているのですが、繰り返さないでください。内緒です)
While it is indeed a VERY GOOD Ratchet & Clank (barely below Ratchet & Clank 2 honestly), the only thing i have against Tools of Destruction is that the war against the Space Pirates is so naturally intense and fun (Captain Slag is an excellent antagonist)
Weirdly enough, it may be one of my favorite and one of the best rivalry relationship i've seen in these recent years.
Both understand each other's strength and motivations, but at the end they absolutely CAN'T stand each other, to the point of being reduced as simple dumb kids
At the end, while Munch's Oddysee is an interesting game to play, it never lives up to its ambition to make Oddworld way bigger than a simple escape from a place, because the game and unfinished.
I hope that Lorne Lanning will use Munch the way he wanted during the next years.
