Every so often you encounter a drawing that makes you gasp a little. This first one most definitely does! I love the energy in it! Beautiful figure drawings from HS students on toned paper. Very proud of their progress!

6th graders are WOWING me! There are several more amazing ones that are still in progress but these are just a few that I could capture. Creative, imaginative landscapes! 1st attempt @ creating perspective; I'd say they were pretty successful!

Happy Black History Month! Artist Romare Bearden was an African-American author, song-writer & fine artist born into a mixed race family. He understood the beauty of diversity & depicted it through his amazing collages

Painting&Advanced students finished their first project already: Non-objective watercolor paintings! Students had to show 15 different techniques throughout their work. Loved how they came out & students said they really enjoyed the process.

In honor of this snowy weather...4th grade monochromatic winter trees! Students were inspired by Van Gogh's textured landscape paintings to make these snowy scenes. Love these! I just want to live in them!

Drawing&Painting made reflective objects w/a quote that evokes emotion in their viewer. The work & quotes vary from funny to inspiring to heartbreaking...& definitely genuine. I'm glad to see a little bit of who they are.

1st grade made fall trees reflecting in the water! They learned about color mixing & about symmetry through reflections. They did SO well and had a great time making them!
