Went to to preorder Brubaker and Phillips’ Pulp (coming out tomorrow), and bumbled into a comic called That Texas Blood by and . What a find! Gritty tale with beautiful art has me hooked. Issue 2 out tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Finished off the second story arc of tonight. Such a brilliant series. It’s toward the top when it comes to pulling together an epic tale, stunning visuals, and truly incredible lettering/symbols.

Ratings Game explores how far two television anchors will go to stand alone atop NYC’s competitive news market. Horrific and darkly humorous, it’s a book that left me thinking of a tongue-in-cheek version of Donald Westlake’s The Ax, which is never a bad thing.

I hope people are not only reading , but appreciate the awesomeness of having monthly oversized, standalone issues. It’s a rare thing these days, and *soooo* cool. Series just keeps getting better. (1 of 2)

I’ma keep saying it until I convert the masses: is a comic you need to be reading. This issue sees the trio arriving at its destination, only to find worse trouble after some short-lived peace.

Man, has been nothing short of brilliant since it came back. The current arc, Cruel Summer, basically tells the same story each issue, but from a different character’s perspective each time. Don’t miss out, folks. It’s superb.
