On this day in 2019, Steven Universe The Movie premiered on Cartoon Network.
Am I the only person who thinks that ever since Universal bought DreamWorks, the executives have been forcing them to milk every bit of success they get with a bunch of unnecessary sequels?

@Mild2Mystery Other than It's Pony, Nickelodeon also has a bad reputation of mistreating their animated shows left & right.
Cartoon characters always look cursed when they're facing forward.
This is something interesting that happened in animation history.
Ed, Edd, n, Eddy, Phineas & Ferb, and Adventure Time were originally pitched to Nickelodeon, and then rejected.
Cartoon Network picked up Ed, Edd, n Eddy & Adventure Time, and Disney picked up Phineas & Ferb.
@averydmerrick I love those series as well. Along with these.
-Hilda
-Green Eggs & Ham (2019)
-Inside Job
-The Cuphead Show (2022)
