Law seems to have the upper hand in this fight. Oda's making us feel safe now, but Blackbeard will turn the tides. It's when Law starts losing where Kuzan will interfere and we finally get the Law & Kuzan in SWORD confirmation!

Luffy's move to defeat Kaido was really clever. He "Gear 4thed" his fist. This allowed him to "Charge" the move while Momo moves away the island, and the clash with Kaido made his fist compress even more. So when Momo moved the Island, the fist burst at full power.

The Nika fruit is Oda using his own lore to create an ability, i.e. the Sun God, as opposed to real life lore like the Phoenix. Another example of Oda using his own lore for an ability inside his world is Dellinger, who is a half Fighting-fish Fish-man, a species imagined by Oda.

Kid & Law might've "won" this battle against Big Mom, but she's still alive, both physically & mentally, and will come back. It's the most ideal outcome. Throughout the Arc, she was tossed aside for the story to progress, and this is just a prolonged version of it.

Ifrit Jambe was combined with Sanji's Mutton Shot attack to defeat queen. This is the same attack he used to defeat Kuroobi. Sanji has much more powerful finisher kicks to offer, like Concassé! His full potential with this new power is yet to be tapped!
