Everything and I mean everything about the scene on the bridge is just masterful. A thread on what makes it one of the best scenes in the VN.
When Shirou and Sakura kissed in HF I was so happy. These are two people who have experienced terrible trauma and who now found themselves trapped in war that could lead thousands of deaths yet in the midst of all that the love they had for eachother still bloomed.
I thank Takeuchi everyday for designing some of the great characters in fiction
This is why Rin is a phenomenal character locked eyes with one of the most powerful figures in Greek mythology and didn’t even blink.
I already did a long thread discussing Artoria’s past but still I can’t help but find her story so beautiful and so tragic. She was a young girl who voluntarily put a nation on her shoulders and in the process giving up any sense of normalcy yet she didn’t hesitate.
The Rider vs Saber fight really was phenomenal. When I think of a battle between servants this is what I think of.
The way Nasu and Takeuchi do action is so incredible. Fate originally came out in 2004 yet the action feels so raw and visceral because of the combination of art and writing. You truly get the sense that hero’s of old are fighting for the sake of their master.
