Hijikata and his characterization is some of the best but also some of the most subtle in Gintama. It beautifully parallels not only Gintoki’s story but also the larger themes in Gintama most importantly creating one’s own brand of bushido he can be proud of.

FSN HF I: Presage Flower expertly sets up the themes and primary characters that will make up the rest of the trilogy. Watching the film now makes me appreciate even more Sakura and Shirou’s dynamic both from a romantic and thematic sense.

My brother finished Fate/Stay Night UBW and he absolutely loved it. He said Shirou is in his top 30 characters of all time and almost equal praise for Archer. He also said Artoria was far superior in UBW and became a top 3 character in the series. So proud of my brother right now

Kiritsugu’s backstory is so incredibly tragic. It’s a perfect encapsulation of one’s ideals drive you to becoming a hardened machine to the point you will sacrifice any potential happiness for the sake of those ideals.
