Here’s the official 1996 art of regular Growlithe by Ken Sugimori for comparison! I based the pose of Hisuian Growlithe off his Red/Blue sprite… I didn’t realize til after that it’s also the same pose of his modern Sugimori artwork, so that works. 😆

Still getting the hang of my Apple Pencil, but I think this turned out pretty well! 😁

First is SA1 style, while the second has some added cel-shading (like on the spines) like Uekawa started to do with SA2-on.
