@OtyMark Gonna be real, I like this style more than Overwatch. But if that's your target then the cloth could use work. It should be more physically motivated. There's an old GDC talk on Overwatch art style that covers this in depth.
There's a lot going on in the world right now, so it feels weird to celebrate. But! I've joined the talented team @gravitywell as a Senior Character Artist helping them develop their debut title. It's an amazing team, and a dream project, HYPE!!!
Early WIP from this weekend. Literally nothing has been refined, but! It's a good start, based on a concept by @SergiBrosaGo
@Dekren Pretty much, but I was also wondering about how much 2D you decide to use in your 3D. These images demo the idea. Long arm man is what I'd call 3D/2D. Whereas the fox is very 3D. But I could imagine creating long arm man's concept in that more 3D style and the inverse on the fox.
I mean come on! DC is killing it! I need to start buying these comics to really support this amazing art.
Looking over @pawchaw concepts for brawl stars, so awesome! He has such a a-typical style of approaching concept art but it's pure gold. So much character and readability!!!
Found this image on Pinterest a bit back. Haven't been able to get it out of my head. It's amazing that the planar breakdown maintains the organic flow of the model. Love it. I NEED to do a study on this.
Study Study Study. Heavy WIP of a concept by Cedric Peyravernay. Been doing a lot of these studies behind the scenes
