…at least works better with DD than a lot of other characters. Unfortunately it also feels pretty cold and destructive—Karen, Mysterio, Foggy, etc.—on its way to get there. I do, however, absolutely love where we go from here, so I can’t complain much. But as always… YMMV.
And that’s it for “Guardian Devil”, the first arc of the Marvel Knights DAREDEVIL title. Overall, it’s still a really solid story. A bit talky, maybe, but that’s how Smith built his career and I can’t fault him for that. It also tries its damnedest to be “dark and gritty” which..
