AGM-109 MRASM, a prototype air-launched variant of the Tomahawk tested in the later stages of the missile's development. it would have carried anti-airfield submunitions, reducing the need for risky direct attack. it was cancelled in 1984, a year after the BGM-109 entered service
Novi Avion, a 1980s project intended to replace Yugoslavia's ageing fleet of Soviet fighters. with assistance from France, it was of similar configuration to the in-development Rafale and could have used the M88 turbofan. however, the breakup of the country ended the project.
X-20 Dyna-Soar, a 60s Boeing spaceplane project. boosted to high altitude aboard a Titan rocket, its aerodynamic profile would have allowed it to 'skip' off of the atmosphere to maneuver. this was promising for reconnaissance, orbital rendezvous, or even anti-satellite roles.
YA-7F, a substantially upgraded variant of the Corsair II. the fuselage was extended and new attack avionics were fitted alongside an F100 engine. with afterburner, a speed of Mach 1.2 was achievable. it was eventually cancelled in favor of expanding the F-16's capabilities.
