This was both a frustrating and rewarding paleo reconstruction to do. Coat is a little fantastical, but this was more of an exercise than a dead serious illustration. Panthera palaeosinensis is a basal member of the Panthera genus.

My dinosaur-headed dragon Niobium. Second zoomed in image is the actual working size; there's a lot of beautiful detail in him you lose pulled way out. He's always been a difficult character for me to draw but I feel I'm finally starting to nail it.
