For just a reminder of how beautiful the Holotype skull of Gastonia burgei is. Best Polacanthid skull so far on planet. Yhis guy was a head pounder like a dinocephalian with pterygoid processes forming a shock absorber at front of braincase. I'm looking at you!

So for about fossil symbols for , My favorite sawskate (sawfish are convergent on this extinct Cret family), Texatrygon brycensis. These teeth found in Mid Campanian Wahweap Fm. at Bryce, were from a close relative of Lebanopristis and Micropristis.

BOTH Scelidosaurus and Mymoorapelta have faint ridges on lateral osteoderms dorsally, which would be strongly expressed in overlying keratin. Gastonia dorsal osteoderms and spines have strong ridges around their bases that would extend to apex in overlying keratin.

Pretty sure its the same as BYU's Movie Valley Anky site. Matt and John's anky material maybe float 10 m down slope from BYU's pit. Don's finds ~10 east may well not be anky. BYU's stuff, all there was? Cannot prove!

2.5 days cropping and editing and finally got first draft plate put together for the description of "Gamera" from the Suarez site. Verts are a pain to crop!! Next the dorsals....

Ken Carpenter sent his picture of the Holotype distal tail of Sauropelta; matches up well with Coombs' (fixed) drawing. Still does not jive with the material on exhibit! Did KC shoot his pic before exhibit made?? Got smashed before I shot and a tail was fabricated for exhibit?
