@Thepoutybat You might have noticed, but my idea would be to base this new trilogy mostly on the 80's comics.
Ideally it would also be more noir-ish like some comics of that era (NYC in the 80's was one hell scary of a place), I don't think that would let that happen, but a man can dream!
It was promising, but:
There's this 10-issue World's Finest mini-series.
In #9 they're both at their lowest. Batman had lost Jason, Superman had to kill, so they spend a day together, and they end up helping a mother to give birth and saving the father.
THAT I call a brotherhood. https://t.co/MLvW0OSTi5
While there, Alicia probably hang out with lots of guy, some where nice, some where not, but the thing is she did what she already did in the past: married the money, quite some times, but this time she didn't do it for her, but for her little daughter: Harleen.
@ITSSLADEWILSON Idk about Taika, but I think Gunn could absolutely pull-off a bonkers Silver Age Superman-like movie.
Come to think of it, I just finished reading "Superman: up in the sky", which gave me major Silver/Bronze Age vibes, and man would that work with Gunn.
Just finished reading "Superman: up in the sky" it's so great! An unstoppable Superman constantly doing the impossible.
He suffers from major anxiety and all kinds of pains, but he won't stop because there's one thing that will perpetually keep him going: a child needs his help.
IF the rumors are true (and it's a big "IF"), I would love it for Herny's Superman to have a scene like the one from "Superman/Shazam: First Thunder", in regards with a possible friendship with Levi's/Angel's Shazam. I know the wizard's techincally gone, but who knows.
@ProfofEvil I think that his popularity would rise if they actually committed to what the issue 1 cover was indicating, which was something with the same spirit as Golden Age Supes.
Like: that dude trapped some rich bastard in a mine to prove a point, let this kid do the same stuff.
@quasde09 Probably the ears. They point too much outward for my taste.
@byrd156 @TheartistJf Exactly this! Silver age Barry is the anti-"The Boys". He's the positive answer to "what if a normal guy got superpowers?" and even more than that, he's "what if a normal guy got the same powers has his favorite superhero?"
He didn't even have a tragic past, and that's so unique!
