SNEAK PEEK from my latest commission work- tidying up some native NZ fluff-balls 🌸🌟🌸

Been looking through my sketches from this year... I wasn't sure I'd improved my plein air sketching skills but crickey, I'm actually quite chuffed with how things are coming along!!! First pic is from Jan this year and the other two are from Sept! ✨ Progress!!✨

Created a character, coloured in PS now doing a traditional acrylic painting using the same technique but with old SKOOL materials 🙌 Just in the process of doing the burnt umber underpainting 🎨 (colours in 1st are WHACK cuz of the screen throwing things!) #schoolismhouse #art

I like to imagine this critter lives in the local village pond - causing trouble for the other fishy inhabitants and giving a nasty nip to any one brave enough to try fish it up! But is no match for when King Heron is in town and wants a bite to eat 🐟🐟🐟

We are so close to Christmas and the end of year now! I'm really obsessed with snuggly cosy cottages; they look twice as cosy when they're covered in snow!! I'm actually heading home for Christmas (summer time, AH YEAH) but enjoying the festivities in the lead up!

Dreaming of warmer and brighter days!! The cold and darkness in Scottish winter does lend itself to more cosy vibes, but this morning I'm craving blue skies and beach days! <3
