@chrisarrant @scottedelman @gerryconway That's definitely Orion, which ran in Hot Stuf' just before it appeared in HM, around 1974 ( sorry Chris, Edge Of Chaos was a slightly later series, though the characters could be twins! ) There's a great trade of both series from Hermes Press BTW
Doing a Heavy Metal re-read and yes, Ranxerox is still as sick, inexcusable and nihilistic as it ever was. But you can't look away! In a strange way, along with American Flagg, it's kind of the strip that defines the '80's.
#BOTD: Happy 86th birthday to Our Pal Sal Buscema, who's drawn EVERYTHING, brilliantly. Here's a couple of my Bronze Age faves:
Just joining everyone in saying farewell to the wonderful Jean-Claude Mézières, who's joined Valerian & Laureline in eternity. Thank you maestro.
While everyone's quite rightly posting Richard Corben's iconic cover for Bat Out Of Hell today, let's not forget Berni Wrightson did an equally wonderful cover for #RIPMeatLoaf's follow up album.
#BOTD: Happy 74th birthday to the great Joe Staton. One of those artists we maybe take for granted a little bit, but like Nick Cardy, his work is full of fun & joy and always makes me smile.
A #Bowie piece I did for my art A level a hundred years ago.
The trains here are so strange...

Here's a Hunger piece I did in school, and a Man Who Fell To Earth piece I did a couple of years ago. I may be a fan.
4/ Happy New Year from me and these two goobers. As is traditional, here's a thread of art I did this year I still quite like.
