There was a good amount of satirical news segments in DKR, but they often were kept within their own “average comic style” panels, often smaller and provided commentary, but not too much, of the world in the story.

You see this is funny because Batman very much kills people in this book. And has people killed. I’m not joking either. It’s not like a “did Batman shoot at the Mutant punk? Or did he kill her?” thing, Batman outright says at one point “I had your bosses killed”

I checked the @DCLegends Reddit page for news on Plas’ intro to the game, and was GREATLY excited to see them reference the JLA 80 Page Giant from 2011, Plas’ last story before the New 52. It’s an amazing story for Plas, and seeing it being brought up again is amazing

So Plas’ design here is based mainly off of Doc Shaner’s Terrifics look, with an added element of red and yellow of his classic look. It also has goggles similar to his classic design, but with no divider. It keeps the visual of how his Terrifics belt was in a clever way
