Actually the best thing that it did was canonize the fact Plastic Man has no toes anymore.

One of my favorite things that the Secret Origins retelling of Plastic Man’s origin did was adding in the detail that Plastic Man spoke with an accent, likely Brooklyn, and later began to speak English without it/took grammar lessons

Down to the more square/round face and the hairstyle… yeah lol. Either this means that JLA Year One was officially saying that Plastic Man had already had a career and retired, and his son took his place… or the artist just only remembered the 60’s stuff.
