I feel like it's a hard balance to have charming & fun characters who's actions are deep rooted in insecurity w/o going overboard & making them too sweet & sympathetic. Both chars are selfish & thoughtless enough to keep things funny, & it helps the sweet moments stand out more

The human, Hind, is wonderful. I want to describe her as 'Pure of Heart, Dumb of Ass', but pure of heart implies a selflessness/lack of agenda, and Hind does have an agenda, even if it's just 'I want others to think I'm cool' & she is ultimately well meaning. 100% Dumb of Ass tho

Basic premise: In a fictional Arabic town where creatures from folklore (jinn) haunt folks, one of those jinn, a Si3lah named Qarnfel, tricks a human to kill her enemies on her behalf

I don't talk about Si3lah's Assassin and that is a terrible mistake on my part because it is a very fun comic series w/ some great cartooning and comedic timing

Ar some point I had noted down to myself to read Sweet Blue Flowers, so I went & gave that a go. It about 2 childhood friends who reunite as they start high school, & very slowly over time develop feelings for one another
