So by the time I finished my webcomic about Kids having a Rough Time and a DLC about a kid having a Rough Time, I just really felt like exploring how a kid might learn to enjoy life again after such a Hard Time, and that lead to this whole little mini series of art & comics
Octo Expansion's release happened to line up w/ when I was finishing my webcomic Hana and the Firebird, about kids going through a Rough & Complicated Time with a ambiguous ending. OE features a kid going through their own Rough Time that was easy for me to project a story onto
I got Splatoon 2 upon release & had a vague idea on what kinda person my squid kid was (a rich kid who was trying to fit in with the poorer kids), but it wasn't until Octo Expansion's release a year later that I felt the urge to really develop her or give her a name.
That 'what's your creative process like' meme but I only feel like posting 2 pics instead of 4
I still know very little about this game, both on a lore & on a gameplay level, but I admire how much fun & full of personality the sprites are
This latest dive into Darkstalkers was spurred on by seeing a tweet with a gif of this char doing a move where he grabs the opponent with his ass cheeks to electrocute them & looking at the sprites for his other moves is A Treat
My interest in Darkstalkers increased ten fold once I learnt there's a move that turns male opponents into cute girls, and the female opponents into cuter girls
Thanks for the tag @peppernalli!! I got tagged on a different train a few weeks back so I'm not gonna bother tagging others again, but I am happy to share some self portraits https://t.co/xGtJ3alSj0
