@larrykingundead Damn! Yeah, the Azzarello/Lee run was super hyped. And plus there was the Majestic crossover and Michael Turner crossover in-between. It's definitely a nearly forgotten time on the title.

I don't know why, but I always thought the Fearsome Five's Gizmo in the 80's was modeled after John Byrne.

It's always interesting to see creators sorta stake their claim on characters and seemingly invite them along on many of their projects. Judd Winick's adoption of the Shazam mythos in the 2000's comes to mind.

When it comes to overused DC villains, I'll take Luthor over Joker any day. And I especially love these dressing downs Lex gives the clown every once in a while.
