Tsurune S2 #10

Poetic that the most Free!-like scenario ended up in the hands of Eisaku Kawanami, but also their involvement surely helped make it that way to begin with. This mini-arc really brought all the loose threads together to create a compelling antagonist going forward.

TRIGUN #12

This all started with this scene on the second movie. It has an identical weightless feeling that I initially attributed to Shingo Yamashita, but looking again it's far more Utsunomiya-school and almost assuredly Nozaki's work.

Trigun #03

This episode is quite the outlier in his career since none of the gengaman are from Torotoro, he was working rogue instead. Not that it would change much in the impressive result though, many scenes completely redrawn by him.

Hikari no Ou #02

Touko part CAD: Kazuchika Kise
Koushi part CAD: Toshihisa Kaiya

With Hikari no Ou airing soon I was thinking abt Toshihisa Kaiya again. I think it's fair to say he learned a lot in his time working with Toshiyuki Inoue on Magnetic Rose, Jin Roh, Tree of Palme, etc. Very strong artist with very few known scenes

(1, 2 are Kaiya, 3 is Inoue)

I cant say for sure that he did his own genga for every cut but it certainly looks like it. To produce this on the finale of a show mired with production issues while also involved with more than half the episodes... one of the greatest of all time. Immense dedication.
