So one of my favorite little things in the DS to 3DS era of #PuyoPuyo were the little character icons on the secondary screen. They added a lot of charm to the DS versions of each game.

I decided to try my own spin on these. Have two Dopples. One clown, one not. Also a bird.

Context: In the 1991 game, this was one of the three selectable in-game songs. In the 1992 game, this is the multiplayer battle theme.

You ever notice how in Japan, Arle's Compile/Fever era outfit is more popular, but in the west it's her 20th outfit?

(For the record, this has nothing to do with Smash. I don't think Arle's classic and modern era outfits are different enough to stand apart in an 8 player match.)

I’ve been pretty bad with birthdays lately, and I’m sorry for it. However, in the nick of time for Japan, I gotta at least wish Mie Sonozaki a happy birthday.
Not doing so for Arle’s actress? Come on, I’m better than that!
Among others, she also plays Klug.
