Going through a bit of red phase at the moment. I’ve always felt like I shy away from that side of my palette, unless painting specifically “red” things. Great for my brain, not so much for my quinacridone >:) 🔴

Value demos from today’s @chimirus lesson. Midsommar up top and a Sorolla on the bottom. Focused on taking 3 —> 5 values and organizing based on the key. Honestly, my favorite part of painting.

Day 06: Nocturnes are some of my favorite paintings. Almost impossible to reference other then just being outside and using your eye holes. I had @HenriMartinArt on my mind. For some reason I thought it would be clever to attempt a deceptively laborious style 🥴
