I find it fascinating how my favorite compositions come from sketches that are absolutely minuscule.
Monstrous day 7: Marionette guard. For eccentric wizards with little time on their hands, forging true golems can be difficult work. Instead, many opt for autonomous puppets. Their hyper attentive and cheery demeanor are usually enough to scare away even the bravest intruders.
✨Closeups✨ I’m currently on fall break, which is why I finally had time to finish and post this. School’s been really demanding lately, but I’ll try to get a few more of these done before the month ends. In other news, I’m feeling good about this new shading style!

Monstrum entry 4: Kobold. These creatures pose a phylogenetic mystery. With no written language, oral traditions, or significant mention in other cultures, they seemingly appeared out of thin air. Some claim they are related to dragonborn, but key anatomical traits are missing.
Monstrum entry 3: Black Dragon wyrmling. Before the brutish and unpredictable nature that is characteristic of most adult black dragons can mature, young Black Dragons rely upon their sinister wit to survive. Although not as destructive, this makes the babies just as dangerous.
