Another reason Windsea is worshipped by vikings is because he was created by Loki. As in hes one of the many Children of the norrøn god Loke.
Although, his "Father" is abusive, and hates that his creation follows happiness and love rather than maliciousness like Loki himself.

Windsea will twist your wishes if he finds them selfish or unecessary. If you wish however for your dying daughter to be healed, he will fulfill the wish in the purest intention.
Because of this, many vikings worship Windsea. Among other reasons.

Hes an orca or a "Killer whale" but his nickname specifically is the Wishing whale.
Even though hes not actually a whale.
