The "Warrior Ten" would become deeply connected with said elements, for unknown reasons, and since they are the source of many of current day Digimon's powers, now every type of Digimon is more connected with an specific "attribute" than others, although it can vary.

Each Digimental caries one of the "Crest's/Heart's Symbols". So there are the Digimental of Courage, Digimental of Friendship, Digimental of Knowledge and so on.

However it's not impossible. Tailmon is an example of a non-descendant of the those members of the Ancient Species, but can do Armor Evolution thanks to some hidden abilities.

However, the ones that are the most important are, or course, the Digimental. Those are ancient objects created during the time of the Ancient Digital World. Since the Ancient Species had little chance to evolve, the Digimental were created, so they could "Amor Evolve".

Each Heart has a different appearance based on its specific Spiritual Trait when overlayed with a special oscillograph. Of course nowadays it's already common to simply say "Symbol of the Crest", however it's not the origin of said symbol and can also have different names.

This is important to know because the physical crests were never really the important thing. Even their Symbol isn't really "The Symbol of the Crests". As made clear in the anime (And even more in the Novel), that is the Symbol of the Hearts.

Returning to the group, although they do have control over the elements and this power is connected to the Digital World since its creation, not much is known about them. There's, of course, two (Mostly one) exception, Ancient Garurumon and Ancient Sphinxmon.

The Elements of Nature is a very common element among various Fantasy Works, isn't a surprise that Digimon is also full of that. So, let's talk a bit of the elements, starting with the team that is the basic of all of that, the Warrior Ten.
