This is the same "Power of Darkness" as before and when Imperialdramon DM does not control this power he becomes a virus type with an uncontrolled "heart of darkness" (闇の心) that only wants to destroy everything.

And if we have already defined that darkness is negative feelings, "World of Darkness" is clearly a reference to a world formed by what we understand as negative feelings, as is made clear in the explanation about the Dark Ocean, which is also a "World of darkness".

This was exactly what was happening at the end of Digimon Adventure 02, the negative feelings of children infected by the Seeds of Darkness were being absorbed by Belial Vandemon as the Power of Darkness that he was controlling to transform everything to a "World of Darkness".

This really works with Digimon. We have "Light" as being equivalent to "Evolution" which is close to the concepts of "Life", "Beauty" or "Truth". What guarantees the existence/order of everything is the "Awareness of Light" also called as "Being of Good", also called God.

Light vs Darkness, Good vs Evil, Life vs Death Digimon is clearly working with this duality, but I think we can be more certain of what it all really is, and this is how I want to end the thread, going to the source of everything.

The series ends remembering that Light and Darkness exist in everything and everyone, and have always been fighting each other. But as long as we are able to keep the light within our hearts and the power to make our dreams come true, everything will be fine.

Believing in this power, of turning dreams into reality, they emit a light that weakens Belial Vandemon, releasing its darkness so that it could be destroyed.

Takeru and Daisuke motivate the children to not stop believing, that if they believe in the Digimon, they will exist. Every children has the power to make their dreams come true, turn them into reality.

This anguish of not being able to change anything and giving up on changing their lives becomes the power of darkness that is used by Belial Vandemon.

There, children who were infected with the Seeds of Darkness find themselves useless because they are not like the Chosen Children, have no Digimon Partners and have no way to remove the Dark Seeds from their bodies.
